My name is Anna and I’m 28 years old. I live with my family, two-legged and four-legged, in an old farmhouse.

Apart from our five horses living in the barn next to our house, we have two dogs, lots of cats and many guinea pigs.

Ever since I was a child I knew I wanted to work with animals. If someone asked me “What do you want to be when you grow up?“ My answers ranged from working at a vet, running a pet store and working at the zoo. I could not dream up a future without animals.

I became a certified veterinary nurse and worked at a practice in St. Ingbert (Tierarztpraxis am Wildpark) for four years, where I helped treat cats and dogs, calmed bunnies and guinea pigs during stressful treatments, and advised our human clients as well.

I went on to work at the animal shelter in Zweibrücken where I had the opportunity to meet and care for many different and exciting animals, even including wild ones like hedgehogs and raccoons.

All the while I attended advanced training sessions on topics such as healthy diets, dental care, common parasites and more. I would be happy to advise you!

How it all began…

Since we have been keeping horses for years and finding suitable stables for them soon became a challenge , the dream of buying our own farm quickly arose/came up/manifested….?

2016 this dream then became reality when we found an old farmhouse in Schönenberg-Kübelberg.

Finally we had enough space to bring all of our animals to our home.

In the past the building was used as an inn and therefore had a dance hall? dance room? with space/room for over 70 guests.

We had lots of ideas what to do with the space/room .

In the end it was only logical to make/turn the dance hall a/ into a place for pet boarding for cats.

This is how the plan for the construction of Anna’s cat villa came about.
